When the Spring Festival comes, people in Shunde will eat Youjiaos. Youjiaos are fried-sweet-dumplings. They are delicious.

The Cantonese will go to the flower market. Visiting the flower market is another Cantonese tradition. There are plenty of things to buy in the flower market, such as flowers, couplets, snacks, presents and some attractive things for kids.

We also need to put up the couplets. Because the legend says, putting up the couplets can keep away evil spirits.

Don'ts

You must not shave head in the first lunar month because people believe that it brings bad luck to your maternal uncles if you do that.

It is taboo to visit the house on New Year's Eve because it will spoil the happiness of family reunion.

Spring Festival avoid eating fish head and fish tail. You can only eat the body of the fish, which means the prosperity in the new year.
