Mark Twain said, "Anne is the most moving and beloved figure since the immortal Alice."
main content
The story takes place in a small mountain village in Canada - Affonley, a pair of lonely Cuthbert brother and sister called Matthew, sister called Marilla. Matthew was in his sixties, and at first they thought adopting a little boy from an orphanage would help ease his burden. But by some strange accident, they were brought a little girl, Annie, with red hair and freckles. Anne's parents are middle school teachers, mother married to do a housewife, because of a fever, parents died, before and after two families adopted, and finally to the orphanage, after suffering, but Anne has never lost the yearning for a better life. She is lively and optimistic, full of imagination, she is like a fresh wind blowing into the previously closed green gables. Her kindness and frankness won the sincere friendship and love of classmates and villagers
How I feel about Annie
If imagination is Anne's most remarkable virtue, then what gives her imagination is her pure heart that loves and treats life well. She has an eye for beauty that catches all the joy in life and chews it into medicine to heal every broken heart. Because of gratitude for the gift of life, Anne has always been careful to keep good, do her best to forgive all the malicious, and ungrudgingly release the nature, the simplicity and enthusiasm to everyone around.
Feelings about the whole book
In the hands of Lucmaud Montgomery, Anne's growing up in Green Gables is a healing story in which there are no bad people, just weirdos, no bad things, just weird things. You might worry that such a single, conflict-free story would be boring, but on the contrary, it is so good that those who read it will not be able to stop.
